Biography:
Mr. Roat is an accomplished senior financial executive and strategic advisor with broad management background in financial institutions, public corporations, and entrepreneurial firms. He has extensive experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds, operations, and information systems.

As CFO of the Wealth Management Group of Zions Bancorporation, he helped to build Contango Capital Advisors, a sophisticated startup registered investment advisor, and to restructure Western National Trust Co.

He has served as CFO of Southern California Bank, First Los Angeles Bank, California Republic Bank, and their respective holding companies. At each of these firms, he built a first-rate finance function and led restructuring, merger and acquisition, and company sale initiatives. He began his corporate finance career at First Interstate Bancorp, where he worked in corporate treasury, internal consulting, and mergers and acquisitions.

He has served as a consultant and interim CFO to financial firms and entrepreneurial companies, where he has developed business plans, advised on financing, and evaluated mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Roat holds an A.B. in English from Harvard College and an MBA with an emphasis in Finance and Marketing from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
